SplashData on announced the release of SplashID 4.5, an update to its secure knowledge manager for the iPhone. A free update for registered users, SplashID costs $9.99 and is available for download from the App Store.

SplashID helps you store user names, passwords and history numbers on your iPhone. The input is encrypted to prevent prying eyes from seeing it, and it’s designed to work concurrently with SplashID for Mac OS X or Windows, a

desktop software application (the desktop app costs an additional $19.95).

New to the 4.5 release is up to twice as fast loading times for users with large numbers of records; an enhanced user interface with simplified navigation; improved search and lookup functions; landscape view support; number pad login; a new browser window; and updated Mac and PC software. SplashID requires iPhone 2.0 software or later.
